Harvard University Confers 10,143 Degrees

On Thursday, Harvard University conferred 10,143 degrees during its 375th Commencement exercises. This figure encompasses degrees awarded across various schools for the 2025-26 academic year.

Harvard College issued 1,661 degrees, including 1,603 Bachelor of Arts and 58 Bachelor of Science degrees. The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences granted degrees through Harvard College, the Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and the Graduate School of Design. All Ph.D. degrees were awarded by the Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences awarded 783 degrees, consisting of 360 Bachelor of Arts, 58 Bachelor of Science, 13 Master of Engineering, 246 Master of Science, 30 Master in Design Engineering, and 76 Doctor of Philosophy degrees.

Harvard Business School awarded 956 degrees, which included 821 Master in Business Administration, 60 with Distinction, 49 with High Distinction, and 26 Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Meanwhile, the Harvard Divinity School handed out 146 degrees, including 49 Master of Divinity, 88 Master of Theological Studies, and 9 Master of Religion and Public Life degrees.

At Harvard Law School, 802 degrees were awarded, comprising 187 Master of Laws, 608 Doctor of Law, and 7 Doctor of Juridical Science degrees. The Harvard Kennedy School conferred 632 degrees, including 66 Master in Public Administration, 202 Mid-Career Master in Public Administration, 78 Master in Public Administration in International Development, 267 Master in Public Policy, and several Ph.D. degrees in various fields.

The Harvard Graduate School of Design granted 356 degrees, with a range of Master’s and Doctoral degrees in architecture, design, and urban planning. The Harvard Graduate School of Education awarded 733 degrees, mostly Master of Education, along with several Doctoral degrees.

Harvard Medical School conferred 459 degrees, including Master in Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine, while the Harvard School of Dental Medicine awarded 52 degrees, primarily in Medical and Dental Sciences. The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health issued 567 degrees, focusing on public health and science.

The Harvard Extension School awarded 1,426 degrees, with the majority being Masters of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies. Looking ahead, the university continues to expand its diverse range of academic offerings.
