Despite his critical role in advancing AI, he has expressed concerns about its potential misuse and the societal risks of overdependence. Hinton, who has received numerous accolades such as a Turing Award and a Nobel Prize in physics, advocates for research into AI safety.<\/p>\n

Noel Malcolm, awarded a Doctor of Laws, is recognized for his work as a political columnist and foreign editor, particularly for his historical accounts of the Balkans during the 1990s. His scholarship has been influential in documenting historical truths amid conflict, earning him a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in 2014.<\/p>\n

Audra McDonald, receiving a Doctor of Arts, holds a record six Tony Awards and is celebrated for her performances in theater, television, and music.
